Puerto Rican Festival

A photo is worth one thousand words, and that is true when the first Puerto Rican Art and Cultural Festival in Sarasota County Florida, sponsored by Puerto RICAN Chamber of Commerce Sarasota/ Manatee Counties.

First Puerto Rican Celebration on February 23, 2008, in the heart of beautiful downtown Sarasota. Near 7 thousand Puerto Ricans from Manatee and Sarasota Counties gather and danced under the rain as they waited with great patience for the arrival of Puerto Rican Power, the number one Puerto Rican band in Salsa. The 13 piece band was transported from San Juan Puerto Rico to Sarasota by the friendly Skies American Airline a Platinum sponsor also transporting the second best known band Master Joe from Puerto Rico to Tampa. Many groups participating from 11 am, getting ready the mood for the grand finally to closed the event at 8:30 pm.

Many thanks are due to our sponsors, American Airlines, Univision, Telefutura, Rum Don Q, Budweiser, La Nueva Radio, Comcast Cable, Vero Construction, ICU Investigation & Surveillance, for making this event possible.

Also the proud directors of the PRCC-SM Chamber who work tireless to make this event the cleanest and free of  trouble in the history of events in the city of Sarasota. Comments made by the department of city police in the premises, never had an event so orderly conducted and so maliciously clean without garbage or incident. KUDOS to you!
